Business execution software developer SuccessFactors is set to acquire Brisbane-based analytics and workforce planning vendor Inform Business Impact for more than $US40 million.
Inform Business Impact (previously Infohrm) provides more than 130 companies - including 24 from the Fortune 500 - with strategic consulting services and cloud-based software.
The incorporation of Inform's technology and expertise will make SuccessFactors the first to offer business analytics and workforce planning as part of a business execution software suite, company officials claimed.
An OEM agreement between the two companies means SuccessFactors' BizX and Inform's software can be made jointly and immediately available to customers, and work can begin on an integrated version of the applications without having to wait for the completion of the acquisition later this year.
"I can't emphasise enough the uniqueness of Inform and this combination," said Lars Dalgaard, founder and CEO of SuccessFactors.
"I believe no one in the industry, even with other business intelligence or homegrown solutions, can come close to replicating Inform’s deep, proprietary intellectual capital and their set of robust and proven applications solutions. When you talk to Inform's customers, they are just playing a different game. They are answering different questions. They are driving more impact. They are changing the way their companies make decisions," he added.
