Security systems provider Tele-IP Limited (ASX:TEE) has received a $400,000 order from the Victorian Government for communications security services in subsidised low rent high rise apartments.
The solution for the high rise estates in the inner suburbs of Footscray and Carlton consists of intercom facilities installed in each unit that are able to communicate with the main entry doors and security offices. Visitors will be able to contact tenants from the ruggedised entry door unit and the tenants are then be able to remotely open the doors, or refuse entry as required.
Outgoing security calls from the units will automatically be routed to a nominated support area within each complex. In addition, CCTV will be installed to monitor public areas of the building, and an access control system providing unencumbered access to the building for tenants via key cards will be deployed.
Tele-IP is to carry out the cabling, supply and installation of NEC hardware, and integration of all systems within the security network, with the opportunity for similar projects to be undertaken in the future, according to the company.
