Citrix performs well in the Pacific

IT Industry - Listed Tech

The Pacific region has been a growth area for Citrix, with revenue up 21%.  The company didn't fare so well in the Americas or EMEA, but still saw growth.

In another sign that things are improving for the IT industry, Citrix has reported fourth-quarter and annual results showing growth over the year.

4Q09 net income was $US88 million, compared with $US60 million in 4Q08 (when doom and gloom was the order of the day).

And 2009 net income was $US191 million, up from $US178 million in 2008.

Revenue growth was particularly strong - 21% - in the Pacific region. In the Americas, the corresponding figure was 7%. EMEA revenue was up just 3%.

But that was for the fourth quarter. Looking at the year as a whole, those numbers become 1%, 4% and -8%. Yep, minus 8% for Europe.
