Citect wins global software deal with Energizer

IT Industry - Listed Tech

Manufacturing systems developer Citect (ASX:CTL) has won a deal with battery manufacturer, Energizer Holdings, Inc, to rollout Citect’s Ampla MES manufacturing software solution for its Alkaline Battery plants in the United States, Singapore, China and Switzerland in a deal valued at more than $1 million.

The implementation of Ampla’s Performance suite will consist of the Downtime, Production and Metrics modules. Energizer will also utilize Citect Professional Services to assist in the global rollout.

The global rollout follows the successful proof of concept earlier this year at an alkaline battery manufacturing plant in the United States. Energizer has embarked on a global program to enhance its asset productivity. Ampla is a key tool to assist Energizer in its ability to collect and analyse real-time production and downtime information to improve Overall Asset Effectiveness (OAE).

“I truly believe we can accelerate our continuous improvement efforts, which lead to improved earnings and reduced costs. The time we previously needed to collect data can now be better used to improve productivity,” said Joe Tisone, vice president Global Operations, Energizer Holdings, Inc.

“Citect understands an MES (manufacturing execution systems) solution is an important component of any continuous improvement initiative and it must have the flexibility to work across many production environments worldwide. Citect has partnered with Energizer on a global basis to ensure it achieves the maximum value from its Ampla solution,” said Darren Trumeter, president, Citect Americas.

“The Citect Ampla product team is committed to delivering the solution Energizer needs for its current continuous improvement requirements as well as providing a platform for future initiatives that will leverage our next generation Ampla modules,” said Colette Munro, general manager, Ampla Product Team.
