Voice recognition systems provider, VeCommerce Limited (ASX:VCM), has executed a memorandum of understanding to deliver a natural language voice self-service solution to a major UK-based financial services company.
It is expected that formal contracts will be exchanged between VeCommerce and the client by the end of October 2005, with the system to be operational in 2006. The value of the contract is expected to be more than $2 million.
According to VeCommerce, the breakthrough sale into the financial services market is an important step in the international expansion plans for VeCommerce, and represents the third UK market in which VeCommerce has acquired clients, following the Wagering and Transportation sectors.
