Managed IT services provider, SMS Management & Technology Limited (ASX:SMX) has been appointed as an approved provider of consulting services on the supplier panel of the Department of Human Services.
Human Services includes some of the Government's biggest agencies, encompassing Centrelink, Health Insurance Commission, Child Support Agency, CRS Australia, Australian Hearing and Health Services Australia.
SMS will provide expertise over the next three years on information technology projects across the six agencies.
Commenting on the panel appointment, SMS Regional Director ACT, Melanie Kontze, said, "SMS offers a range of project management, business optimisation and strategic planning consulting services, and with a wealth of experience across many Commonwealth Government agencies - we are well placed to assist the Human Services agencies to achieve their goals."
SMX shares were well traded and closed up 5c to finish on $2.11.
