Traffic camera systems provider, Redflex Holdings (ASX:RDF) joined in the 2005 tech party, nearly tripling its net profit on a substantial revenue increase.
Revenue the year ended 30 June 2005 increased 39.7% to $46.3 million, while net profit after tax increased 171% to $9 million. Most of the revenue and profit came from traffic camera installations in Australia and the US, while communications systems picked up contributing $8.4 million in revenue and $1.95 million in net profit. The communications result was underpinned by a massive $46 million contract with Lockheed Martin in the US.
RDF shares dropped 8c to close on $2.92 in a moderate day of trading.
