Milne, by then chairman, resigned from the board of PieNETWORKS in February 2012 and Turner left shortly afterwards as PieNETWORKS slashed costs after failing to get Telstra to commit to a major Internet kiosk supply contract.
Milne was appointed to the board of NetComm Wireless in March (ASX: NTC) and now Turner has followed him again, as general manager of product management.
Announcing Turner's appointment, NetComm said: "He will be instrumental in strengthening the company's market positioning and product offerings, particularly in the key focus areas of wireless and M2M. [He] brings to NetComm Wireless 25 years of telecommunications industry experience across product management, business strategy and planning, R&D management and marketing."
NetComm Wireless managing director, David Stewart, said: "The depth of experience and capabilities Craig brings to this leadership role will deliver considerable benefits to our business as we build our wireless and M2M presence in domestic and international markets."
Turner said: "For all the growth that has already occurred within the wireless industry, it's clear there's still a lot more opportunities ahead for us to deliver customer benefits that will be enabled by the innovative application of wireless and M2M technologies."
Turner's last role at Telstra was as executive director, fixed voice and broadband products with responsibility for product management and product development of Telstra's fixed line telephony, consumer broadband, Pay-TV (Foxtel resale) and consumer applications business.
