An Australian company has won the first Dell Asia Pacific PartnerDirect Excellence Award for Storage.

Sydney-based Regal-IT beat other Dell partners from China, Korea, Japan, Thailand and India in the storage category of the inaugural Dell Asia Pacific PartnerDirect Excellence Awards.

"The APJ PartnerDirect Excellence Awards is a platform to recognise those partners delivering enterprise solution excellence and winning in the data centre," said Richard Lee, Dell's VP Asia Pacific and Japan for the Dell global commercial channel.

"It is with great excitement and humility that we accept this award from Dell," said Regal-IT managing director and co-founder; Mark Gluckman. "To be the only local company chosen in the storage category is testament to our long investment in the Dell/Compellent storage platform and the expertise we offer users. We were the first company to sell and support Compellent in Australia and the purchase by Dell of Compellent last year has really backed our initial decision and greatly expanded the services we can offer our enterprise end users."
