Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.

Telstra has won contract worth $185 million over five years to manage Centrelink voice services. The deal will include the supply of speech recognition services, the introduction of smart outbound dialling systems and development of SMS text services.
According to a statement from Human Services Minister, Joe Hockey, the smart outbound dialling system would help Centrelink cut down on 94 million letters it sends out each year, while the SMS service may be used to help groups such as job seekers and students.
