DiData Macquarie Park officially on the map

IT Industry - Development

Dimension Data has officially opened its new global service centre at Macquarie Park, Sydney. The centre is expected to employ more than 300 people within five years.

Dimension Data's global service centre in Macquarie Park provides round-the-clock technical support for companies in various industries including financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing, government and education.

It currently employs 130 people, but that number is expected to increase to at least 300 within five years. Dimension Data has more than 550 staff in NSW, and over 1000 more elsewhere in Australia.

The centre was officially opened today by NSW Deputy Premier Andrew Stoner. "Dimension Data's ongoing investment in the new global services centre at Macquarie Park is a vote of confidence in NSW as a business location," he said.

"We welcome these high-skilled, IT-related jobs for NSW's growing digital economy," Mr Stoner added.

Dimension Data Australia CEO Rodd Cunico said the company had been able to both win and retain major national and NSW-based managed services and outsourcing clients through the provision of local support from the new centre, which commenced operations in February.
