$6M data centre for Wyong

IT Industry - Development

Verb Data Centre has launched its new data centre in Wyong, NSW.

A new $A6 million data centre has been opened by Verb Data Centre (Verb DC) at the North Wyong Industrial Park. Wyong is on the NSW coast, approximately 100km north of Sydney by road.

The new data centre features modular high-density technology, and was deployed in partnership with HP. Other providers include Microsoft, Optus and Telstra. It will host data and business applications, plus business continuity and disaster recovery services.

Verb DC officials said the location was selected due to the availability of skilled staff, fibre optic connections, and power.

"Our vision is to drive towards the development of a Central Coast business park with a technology focus. We believe that the IT sector will play a key role in the future growth and development of the Central Coast region, as well as the State economy," said Verb DC director Damien Wilde.

Our investment in North Wyong will open the door for more businesses in the technology and innovation sector to take advantage of North Wyong's excellent infrastructure and location," he added.
