The research was carried out by Vanson Bourne between November 2009 and January 2010 and analysed by Freeform Dynamics. It covered 3193 SMEs (defined as having up to 500 employees) in Australia, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, the UK and the US.
