Zoho Reports leaves beta

Cloud application provider Zoho has moved its Zoho Reports business intelligence and reporting tool out of beta.

Zoho Reports is an online application intended to help users gain insights on business information.

It processes data uploaded in tabular form (using XLS, CSV, HTML and other formats), or pushed from in-house or hosted applications.

Supported reporting formats include charts, pivot tables, and tables. Users can create custom reports using SQL queries.

Reports can be embedded in web pages, and the product includes an iGoogle gadget.

Zoho Reports also provides a dashboard view to present multiple reports simultaneously.

"With Zoho Reports, users can easily create and share powerful reports that help them gain new insights into their business - with no help from IT," said Rodrigo Vaca, director of marketing at Zoho.

"Users can upload or synchronize data from spreadsheets, Web or traditional applications; build reports and charts in minutes via the drag-and-drop interface; and then share their reports and dashboards with key performance indicators. Zoho Reports wraps a powerful BI and reporting engine in a very user-friendly interface," added Vaca.

The free version of Zoho Reports allows a maximum of two users, five databases, 100,000 rows, five query tables and three scheduled imports.

Paid versions start at $US15 per month, which eases the limits to 250,000 rows in an unlimited number of databases, query tables and scheduled imports.

The high-end Professional Plus plan ($US95/month) allows 20 users and two million rows.

All paid plans include scheduled backup, multiple database owners (pseudo administrators), and the optional removal of "Powered by Zoho" from reports.

Additional users cost $US8 per user per month, and additional rows start at $10 per month for 100,000 rows.
