IT Industry - Development

Cloud applications provider Zoho has stepped up its integration with Google Apps.

Zoho offers a wide range of web applications, from stalwarts including email, word processing and spreadsheets to specifically business applications such as CRM and recruitment.

Earlier this year, Zoho started using the Google OpenID Federated Login API to allow its users to sign in to Zoho applications using their Google Apps username and password.

Now, the company has made the first steps in allowing the use of Google Docs files in certain Zoho applications.

Google Docs files can now be used as attachments in Zoho CRM, Zoho Mail, and Zoho Projects.

The company has also provided a facility to transfer Google Docs files to Zoho Docs.

"We believe Google Docs integration with several Zoho Apps will provide seamless experience for users who use both Zoho and Google Apps. We will to continue to integrate Zoho Apps with Google," said Zoho CEO Raju Vegesna.
