Want a free, fully licensed copy of FileMaker Server 10? You can have one, but there is a catch.
FileMaker's Asia Pacific operation is offering a free FileMaker Server 10 licence if you purchase a set of ten FileMaker Pro 10 licences.
The bundle costs $A4785 - only slightly less than ten times the single-licence price of FileMaker Pro 10 - but it also saves the $A1325 usually charged for the server version of the Apple subsidiary's database software.
Educational customers qualify for an additional discount.
Another catch is that the bundle is only available as a download, not as physical product, though it does include the customary one-year of upgrade maintenance.
"This special offer is a great way for our customers to get their teams collaborating more effectively and securely sharing information better than ever before," said Steve McManus, FileMaker's Asia Pacific regional manager.
"It's our way of offering customers a smarter way to do business and improve the effectiveness of their FileMaker solutions at the right price," he added.
The offer runs until December 22, 2009. See
