Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
The bug in Snow Leopard that leads to the loss of data is a known issue, according to Apple. The company says it's a rare problem but that it's working on fixing it.
It's a nasty bug, too, resulting in the complete loss of a user account's worth of data.
Apparently, the issue arises when a Mac user logs into the Snow Leopard Guest account, then tries to log back into a regular account.
They can be met with a completely empty account. Unless they have a backup, the data is gone.
The problem may be related to having the Guest account enabled in Leopard before upgrading to Snow Leopard, and reports are that disabling the account in Snow Leopard and then re-enabling it may prevent the problem.
In any event, it appears that Apple is on the case. The company sent a statement to several techblogs today saying, "We are aware of the issue, which occurs only in extremely rare cases, and we are working on a fix."
