Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
With the release of Office 2008 for Mac Business Edition, Microsoft trims its Mac Office product line to two entries. The new package is essentially the old full edition of Office, with the addition of some enterprise-oriented networking features.
Up until now, the Mac Office product line consisted of three editions: the basic full package, a Home and Student Edition, and a Special Media Edition that included the Expression Media media manager.
That roster has now been trimmed to two, as the new Business Edition takes the place of the old full package and the Special Media Edition is dropped.
The Business Edition contains up-to-date (SP2) versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Entourage.
Additions include the Entourage Web Services Edition, which Microsoft claims "provides faster data synchronization so Entourage users on Exchange 2007 will experience improved e-mail and calendaring support. Additionally, we’ve added the ability to sync Tasks, Notes, and Categories."
The package also includes Document Connection for Mac, which "improves access and browsing to documents on SharePoint Products and Technologies and Microsoft Office Live Workspace for streamlined collaboration."
Finally, the Business Edition comes with more than 200 templates and clip art for business cards, purchase orders, and company newsletters, among others. Buyers also get seven hours worth of training from lynda.com.
The Business Edition sells for US$399.95, the same price as the old full edition, with upgrades at $239.95. Expression Media will continue to be sold and supported as a separate product, at $195.95 for full retail and $99.95 for the upgrade.
