Business software group Sage CRM has released the latest version of customer and contact management software, ACT!, in Australia, promising annual upgrades for the product from now on.
Sage CRM says it has committed to the upgrades as part of a global R&D program to ensure the software, first developed in 1987, stays current for small businesses and corporate workgroups.
Following the popularity of ACT! 7.0, two versions of ACT! by Sage v8.0 have once again been developed to provide users with greater choice and flexibility:
The new ACT! v8.0 is targeted at individual users, single office and home office businesses and small teams of up to ten people and is designed to be scalable up to 50,000 contacts. A premium version called, ACT! Premium for Workgroups v8.0, caters for larger teams with multiple users that need to share customer data and manage sales opportunities in a secure networked environment, and is designed to enable workgroups to collectively manage up to 100,000 contacts.
The new ACT! software is Microsoft SQL-based and integrates with a number of other business applications including Microsoft Office, accounting package MYOB and Palm OS, as well as Pocket PC and BlackBerry enabled handheld devices.
