Business management applications provider, Sage ACCPAC (Pacific), has rolled fellow Sage Group subsidiary, construction and real estate software company, Sage Timberline, into its fold.
Sage Timberline, which provides accounting, estimate and project management software, now operates as part of Sage ACCPAC's Pacific operation, from the latter's Sydney offices.
The Sage Timberline Office suite has been added to the Sage ACCPAC portfolio of mid-market business solutions - which currently incorporates business and financial management, customer relationship management (CRM), warehouse management, point-of-sale, EDI and business intelligence systems. The extended range will be sold through Sage ACCPAC's network of 70 resellers in Australia and New Zealand.
The Sage ACCPAC CRM solution is already fully integrated with Timberline's accounting system.
According to Daithi Holden, senior vice president of Sage ACCPAC (Pacific), "Combined, ACCPAC and Timberline offer an extremely strong proposition to customers and resellers in the construction and real estate industries. Nothing else on the market provides a fully integrated suite of customisable, market-specific financial, inventory, project and customer management software products.'
Timberline Software Corp. was purchased by Sage Software in September 2003. It has had a local presence since 1989 and boasts 500 customers in the Australia-Pacific region. Until recently, the local operation has been supported by Sage Timberline's Australia office and a network of local resellers.
Holden said, 'Timberline is growing fast on the back of the booming housing market. This move will also give it access to Sage ACCPAC's resources both locally and overseas, and to key business processes such as marketing and accounts, which will help it expand as efficiently and effectively as possible.'
Think again. Most businesses only have PART of a DR plan - and this spells business disaster in the event of an IT disaster.
