NetSuite expands SaaS with add-on marketplace

IT Industry - Development

Like all NS-BOS add-ons, Online One's Electronic Payment System becomes part of the NetSuite environment. Intended for businesses that make many payments per day, the product provides a substantial productivity improvement over manual processing.

"With any other development platform we would have to build our own security, but NetSuite has that side of things completely covered," said Don McLean, sales and marketing director at Online One.

"We were able to deliver our Electronic Funds Transfer application for New Zealand within just six weeks using NS-BOS and, like any other SaaS application, releasing it to the market is just a matter of turning it on," he said.

Online One has also produced an asset management system for NetSuite that it sells internationally.

The other local application comes from ePayroll, part of the Aussiepay group. ePayroll's NS-BOS payroll software simplifies processing for small to medium businesses, and NetSuite integration means payroll transactions automatically feed through to the accounting software.

"Our tight integration with NetSuite means there are no manual files to load and no chance of data getting misplaced or mistranslated," said Tony Senese, business analyst at ePayroll.

"We recognise that the payroll function is often handled by a start-up business owner or administrator who has only limited payroll knowledge, so the ePayroll solution empowers the user with built-in rules that simplify the process and ensure compliance," he added.

The vast majority of NetSuite's developer partners are in North America. Online One and ePayroll are the only two in Australia and New Zealand, though according to Asia Pacific marketing manager Dan Wilmott the company is always looking for more.
