IT Industry - Development

The growing cost and extent of cybercrime was highlighted in a global report recently released by security company Symantec.

The report found credit card details were being offered for between 10 cents and $25 per card while stolen bank account details went for between $10 and $1000 each.

“As these individuals and groups continue to devise new tools and techniques to defraud legitimate users around the globe, protection and mitigation against such attacks must become an international priority,” says Symantec vice president Stephen Trilling.
