Oracle Australia today announced that it will re-launch the JD Edwards brand and lead its manufacturing and distribution go-to-market strategy with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
According to Oracle, the addition of the popular JD Edwards EnterpriseOne suite ensures Oracle can provide customers in this space with the widest portfolio of solutions, as well as a path to Fusion, Oracle’s next generation business applications.
The JD Edwards product is a single suite of robust, industry-specific business applications enabling companies that manufacture, construct, distribute, service or manage products or physical assets to fine tune their supply chain, from sourcing and production to sales, to ensure a close matching of supply with demand.
Since February 2000 to February 2005, sales of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne have increased 20% year on year in Australia, according to Oracle. “Due to the overwhelming success of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne products, the latent demand for the suite and the sheer magnitude of the JD Edwards economy in Australia, we decided to re-launch this brand much to the delight of our customer base,” said Scott Dawes, general manager of applications, Oracle. “The suite has one of the oldest, most dedicated followings in manufacturing and distribution and we intend to protect and grow this community. We are focusing a significant amount of development and field resources to this product set moving forward.”
