IT services provider, Oakton Limited (ASX:OKN) has won a sertvices deal estimated to be worth more than $3 million with Victoria Police for the
design, development and implementation of the enforcement agency's operational performance system (VicOPS) Release 1.
Oakton’s scope is to assist in delivering the data warehouse solution for
Victoria Police to provide access to timely and accurate enterprise-wide
data from multiple existing operational systems.
Commenting on the successful bid, Paul Holyoake, CEO of Oakton said:
“this is a great result and we are very pleased to be involved in such a
strategic initiative. We look forward to working with the Victorian Police to
achieve their objectives.
“Oakton now operates with a number of key service lines, one of which is
information management. The proposed solution for the Victorian Police was
developed within this service line using Oakton’s methodology and knowledge
of the product market in this space. This success supports Oakton’s
positioning as an outcome based service provider and we would expect these
types of solution based engagements to become a bigger part of our
business.”
