Motion unlocks security wholesaler's wallet

IT Industry - Deals

Motion Computing and its Australian reseller Blue Zone have chalked up another win for the company's tablet PCs, this time with security wholesaler Lock N Key.

The LE1600 tablets, to be used by travelling sales representatives, were selected ahead of products from Dell, Hewlett-Packard and Toshiba, the company claimed.

"We chose Motion’s tablets for their slim, sleek design and ease of use, coupled with the functions that we required," said Jason Simpson, systems administrator at Lock N Key. "In considering other tablets we found many of them to be heavy and cumbersome to use."

PDAs had already been rejected as being slow and difficult to use.

Neither the number of units nor the value of the deal were disclosed.
