Computer Sciences Corporation has signed an IT services contract with Water Corporation, one of Australia's largest water service providers, service 2 million residents in Western Australia. The contract, which includes a six-year base period, and four one-year options, has a potential value of up to AUD$190 million if all options are exercised.
Under the agreement, CSC will be responsible for
the ongoing support and maintenance of Water Corporation’s existing
applications, as well as the development and implementation of new
systems. CSC will also provide the company with project, program and
demand management capabilities intended to result in faster and lower
cost delivery of systems.
CSC’s delivery model will involve working with select third-party providers, including CA, NGIS, SKM and SYSTEMIC.
Dave Currell, Manager Information Services, Water Corporation, said,
“CSC was selected amongst others as they demonstrated a low risk
option, an excellent understanding of our operations and the ability to
deliver on all the required services. We look forward to our continuing
relationship with CSC.”
Mike Shove, Managing Director for CSC in Australia said, “The award of
this contract is a testimony to the work that CSC has undertaken on
behalf of Water Corporation over the last eight years. The win further
strengthens CSC’s presence in Western Australia and reaffirms our
position as WA’s largest provider of IT services.”
