China's largest certification body the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) and SAI Global (ASX: SAI), a commercial spin-off from Standards Australia, are to open their first joint venture in China to deliver management technologies and training services.
The joint venture will focus on key growth areas including food safety, product safety and quality management in the automotive, aerospace, information technology and telecommunications industries.
The new venture CQC-SAI will be based in Beijing and will draw on the resources of both organisations within China and globally. The CEO of SAI Global, Ross Wraight said: "SAI's expanding international network of training professionals, leading edge management practices and its increasingly global presence stands to be of great benefit to Chinese industries who are seeking the best management practices from around the world.
"CQC-SAI will assist to further implement critical management capability and skills into Chinese enterprises, act as an agent to enhance the quality of Chinese products and services and increase economic efficiency and effectiveness."
It organisation will assist Australian companies seeking to exports products and services into China, and will help Chinese businesses which are exporting products and services into international markets.
