Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Telecom New Zealand International (TNZI) has opened an office in Singapore, saying the move will help it extend its next-generation soft switch network into Asia.
"Having an office in Singapore will provide new sales opportunities and means we will be on-the-spot in another key Asian commercial centre, ready to meet the needs of our Asian customers in their own market," said TNZI's head of international wholesale, John Mitchell.
He added: "TNZI is developing a range of new best-in-class wholesale solutions specifically for mobile operators that enable them to better support their customers by providing access to value-added services and new technologies. Our new mobile services aim to address mobile operators’ needs by providing high quality worldwide routes and leading-edge services such as worldwide roaming enablement, international signalling, and innovative multimedia and emerging services such as video telephony and mobile content provision."
