Australian cloud services provider, Infoplex, has selected a business service management platform from BMC Software as it transforms its IT environment to a single integrated management solution.

Infoplex Chief Technology Officer, Aakash Gandhi, said BMC had been selected after a rigorous competitive review by the company, which provides technology services to more than 120 enterprise and corporate customers.

Gandhi said BMC’s BSM platform – which provides businesses with a single, integrated IT automation and management platform - had been selected to monitor the company’s customers’ critical business applications, and to provision cloud services and the systems that support them.

“Our goal at Infoplex is to help our customers improve the performance of their mission-critical applications and deliver real business impact beyond simple cost containment.

“BMC’s BSM platform will allow our customers to quickly provision and continuously monitor the performance of their IT environment, as well as rapidly adjust and otherwise scale their server environment based on business requirements.

“Unlike offerings from other IT vendors, BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management and BMC Cloud Operations Management address a broad combination of hardware, software and virtualisation offerings to provide a flexible approach to cloud computing.”

Gandhi said the BMC solution would allow Infoplex to manage a “heterogeneous environment in the broadest sense of the word,” and to leverage all of its physical, virtual, SaaS and cloud assets fully, “managing them as one environment.”
