Enterprise mobility vendor, Good Technology, has formed a partnership with remote integration specialist company, Delv to market Good’s military-grade mobile device and application security solutions to federal and state government agencies.

Founded in 2001 in Canberra, Delv has already deployed and supported the Good For Enterprise mobility solution to a number of large clients in Canberra.

According to Jim Watson, vice president and corporate general manager at Good Technology Asia Pacific, the government sector, “traditionally a BlackBerry stronghold" is increasingly looking for solutions to support the consumerisation of IT in secure, military-grade fashion.

“This is driven by demand from employees who want to use their own smartphones and tablets for both work and leisure, and government agencies recognising the cost and productivity benefits of BYOD. By partnering with Good Technology, Delv can ensure that agency data on iOS, Android and Windows Phone devices is secure at rest and in transit.”

Watson said the Good for Enterprise mobility suite of solutions supports mobile collaboration on popular handhelds – like the iPhone, iPad, Android, and Windows Mobile devices – “without compromising IT security, control or impinging on employee privacy.”

“In a Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) scenario, the separation of personal and enterprise data allows workers to use the smartphones and tablets that they use in their personal lives at work, without restrictions on personal app downloads and iTunes synchronisation,” Watson said.
