The VCAA, is a statutory authority that reports directly to the
Minister for Education and Training. It develops curriculum for all
Victorian schools, assesses student learning, and conducts research to
develop innovative educational programs.
TCS VP and general manager for Australia and New Zealand, Rick Marmur
said: “The advantage of the application is that it can deliver a
unified view of student and school performances. This will allow the
VCAA to provide information that can be used to enhance education in
Victorian schools in the future.”
TCS will use up to ten software developers on-site at the VCAA and
others in the Global Development Centre at TCS to develop the required
SAS software. The project is expected to be completed in February, 2009.
TCS Melbourne using SAS software will support the VCAA system development and roll-out in Victoria.
