Gentrack wins 2nd Brisbane Airport contract

Global provider of airport management solutions, Gentrack, has secured a new contract to deploy its aeronautical billing system to Brisbane Airport, following the airport operators' tender for a new suite of operational airport systems, also won by Gentrack's Airport 20/20 division.

Under this latest contract, Gentrack's aeronautical billing system will be deployed in conjunction with the airport's new 20/20 aeronautical database (AODB), resource management and flight information display systems.

According to 20/20 general manager, Nigel Farley, the latest win extends Gentrack's footprint in Australia, with the company now providing its billing system to eight airports across five states.

'The selection process for the billing system was very competitive and we're very pleased to begin work with Brisbane Airport. The project provides the airport with a specialist billing system with proven capabilities currently used by most of Australia's major airports including Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Gold Coast Airports.'

Farley said the 20/20 billing system would be implemented in parallel with Brisbane Airport's new 20/20 operational systems, and would streamline the collection and processing of information required for comprehensive aeronautical billing activities.

'Our expertise is in delivering comprehensive and highly integrated airport management solutions that enable airports like Brisbane to operate more efficiently and to optimise the traveller experience.'

Brisbane Airport had a record year in 2011 with over 20 million passengers through its domestic and international terminals.
