The commercial arm of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation - ABC Commercial - has partnered with Hewlett-Packard to supply ABC news content to its new web-enabled printers with HP print apps.

Under the contract, the ABC News print application, downloadable directly from HP printers, provides users with direct access to up-to-date local ABC news and headlines and converts it to a printable newspaper format with no need to turn on a PC. Categories available are business, sport, entertainment, world news, and national news.

The HP Photosmart, Officejet, Officejet Pro and Envy e-All-in-One Printers are web connected and allow users to browse and print content that matters to them, without a PC.

ABC Commercial, which licenses content to digital platforms in Australia and internationally, has also supplied content for an app based on the ABC children's program, Behind the News, designed to educate school students on current affairs and provide education resources to teachers.
