A $14 million contract extension will see Empired provide Main Roads WA with operational and project services for another two years.
Perth-based Empired already provides Main Roads WA with operational and project services, and will continue to do so for another two years under a $14 million contract extension. Empired provides service desk, desktop, server and network managed infrastructure services, and will continue a technology transformation project.
"Main Roads has undergone many changes over the previous three years, including considerable growth in operations and the scope of services we provide. Empired has stepped up to these challenges, in a flexible proactive manner, meeting and often exceeding our expectations," said Geoff Wilson, Main Roads WA's manager information management.
"Main Roads is undertaking major initiatives to implement ITIL best practices across all operational systems, plus delivering on a roadmap for technology transformation throughout the organisation," he added.
Empired managing director Russell Baskerville said the contract extension highlighted his company's expertise and capability in providing infrastructure managed services to large organisations.
"We have proven our expertise in effectively managing not only the core operational systems but have extended our services into additional strategic areas of the Main Roads business including the Traffic Operations Centre and Traffic Control Systems," said Mr Baskerville.
