Quest acquires migration automation developer

Quest Software has acquired UK-based ChangeBASE, the developer of automation tools for application migration.
"By marrying its proven portfolio for managing both physical and virtual desktop environments with ChangeBASE's ability to efficiently address some of the most pressing issues around application compatibility, Quest Software becomes a single strategic provider that uniquely delivers fast application migration to new platforms, devices and delivery methods, while minimising risk and cost," said Shayne Higdon, Quest's senior vice president and general manager, client management and performance monitoring.
Company officials claimed the ChangeBASE tools can automatically test and fix applications, speeding delivery by 75%.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
