Xangati and TrackITOnline have partnered to secure a contract with retailer, Target Australia, for deployment of Xangati's infrastructure performance management solution.
Target will use the Xangati V1 Dashboard to manage its virtualised infrastructure, as part of the contract awarded to TrackITOnline, Xangati's distribution partner covering the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Xangati vice president, worldwide sales, Greg Dumas, said the VI Dashboard allows Target to obtain 'maximum value from their virtualization investment by reducing time to problem resolution through its comprehensive, continuous and real-time views into Target's physical and virtual infrastructure.'
'Xangati's partnership with TrackITOnline allows us to bring our award-winning virtualization management solutions to the rapidly growing Australian and New Zealand virtualization markets, significantly deepening our international reach Down Under.'
According to Dumas, many Australian organizations - such as Target Australia - are turning to virtualization for cost savings but have 'valid concerns about their ability to adequately manage these new environments with existing tools.'
'With comprehensive, cross-silo visibility, Xangati's VI Dashboard gives them the confidence to successfully run mission-critical business applications and processes on these new infrastructures.'
Target delivery centre manager, technology services, Paul Watmough, said the partnership with Xangati had enabled the business to efficiently support a medium- to large-scale VMware deployment, 'giving us the ability to better manage our infrastructure by displaying all dynamic interactions between critical virtualized resources on one central dashboard.'
'The Xangati solution has an ongoing role in managing the virtual infrastructure at Target Australia. The service is used to assist with investigation and capacity management activities. The ability to graphically see our business' ESX environment allows prompt issue resolution.'
