Tetra Tech tango with Metallica

Listed technology services company, Tetra Tech, has made its first acquisition in the Latin American region with a buyout of Metalica, a consulting engineering company servicing the mining and natural resources sector.


Tetra Tech's Chairman and CEO Dan Batrack  said that the company had been working with its global mining clients in Chile and Latin America for years,' and that 'by following our mining clients to international locations, we have established a local presence that will be greatly enhanced with the addition of Metalica.'

'With Metalica's strong front-end service offerings, we believe that this acquisition will serve as a gateway to new Latin American markets.'

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, and under the deal Metalica is joining Tetra Tech's engineering and consulting services business segment.
