Barwon Health picks local billing software

Regional health service Barwon Health is deploying LRS Health's MediBILL electronic billing system.
"A driving factor in the choice to work with LRS Health is that it's a local company and its solutions are built for Australian conditions - interfacing with Australian providers like Medicare and providing on the ground 24 hour support," said Brett Jobling, customer services manager at Barwon Health.
"Just as importantly, LRS Health were willing to work with us to create a tailored solution customised to our specific needs. It's early stages but we are already starting to see the benefits, particularly in terms of streamlining our billing processes. So far LRS Health has delivered everything we've requested quickly and with no fuss."
LRS Health software is also used at Victoria's Southern Health group of public hospitals. Southern Health has deployed the MediPATH pathology management system that includes ECLIPSE (Electronic Claim Lodgement and Information Processing Service Environment) accredited billing functions.
