ClickBook clicks with Unbooked - integrated booking and 'deals' service looms

What do you get if you mash together a web-based booking system for service-based business with an operation that specialises in 'last minute' offers to clear unsold appointments?


On your left, there's ClickBook, an established Australian software developer that provides a web-based booking and scheduling system for small services businesses.

On your right, Unbooked - a startup that provides an online opportunity for services businesses to market their services and list available appointments. Like ClickBook, Unbooked is an Australian company with an international user base.

The founders of the two companies liked what they saw in each other' operation, and a partnership was formed. ClickBook founder Mark Demicoli said "we have partnered to produce the world's first fully integrated appointment management and promotion system and an exciting, new distributed marketing channel."

Clickbook and Unbooked have developed and patented a automatic dynamic pricing system. Just as airlines offer cheap seats on otherwise quiet flights and full price when things are busy, the system adjusts service prices within defined structures to reflect demand.

"Imagine ClickBook could automatically discount cancelled appointments so that someone does actually show up, and possibly become a new long term client," said Mr Demicoli.
