Victorian local authority Macedon Ranges Shire Council has selected Infor's Pathway software for a project to provide residents with online access to council information and services.

Macedon Ranges Shire Council has adopted Infor Pathway and e-Patheway software to provide online access to a range of council services and information.

Those services will include making, checking and paying for building and planning permit applications and health registrations, as well as paying parking fines. Residents will also be able to access council information at a time that suits them.

The software, selected following a tender process,  will help the Victorian local authority to improve the integration of its back office systems.

"We were aware of the Infor offering and trusted that its Pathway software had the capability to successfully transition our existing operations into a more effective and streamlined system," said Maureen Trezise, the council's information and communications manager.

James Brackenrig,  VP Pacific at Infor. said "We worked closely with the council to offer an easy to use end-user system that was simple to navigate and administer."

The initial implementation of Pathway is scheduled to go live on November 1, with the remaining modules to be phased in during early 2012.
