IntraPower expands Equinix relationship

Cloud provider IntraPower will be a tenant of Equinix's SY3 data centre when it opens later this year.

"As an existing Equinix customer, we have been continually impressed by the company's commitment to excellence, which is consistent with our own," said IntraPower COO Darc Rasmussen. "Equinix also understands the cloud business. Our need goes beyond access to highly resilient and secure data center services. Equinix's true value-add comes from its strategy of building an ecosystem of cloud application and service providers in a network dense environment."

IntaqPower already operates from Equinix's SY1 and SY2 data centres. SY3 is expected to become operational in the middle of this year.
