The State Library of Queensland has selected a content management solution, RecFind 6, from vendor Knowledgeone Corporation to manage its physical and electronic records.
State Library project officer, Gayle Walters, said the library service had decided to implement RecFind 6 'as the product that best meets the business requirements of the organization at this time. Staff members are looking forward to an exciting implementation and improved records and document management across our organization."
Walters said the library service was a significant partner with local government to provide library services for over 340 public libraries and Indigenous Knowledge Centres in Queensland
According to K1Corp CEO, Frank McKenna, the State Library is reimagining library services, progressively realizing the potential of digital technologies and collaborative approaches for empowering people to discover, use, share and transform content in library collections and available globally, to create new content, and to connect with each other. 'It is advancing its agenda for making libraries more valuable than ever for Queenslanders through a range of partnerships, including with National and State Libraries Australasia; the public library network; other cultural institutions; schools and universities; and across all levels of government.'
McKenna said K1Corp had over 26 years experience in providing 'quality assured ECM software solutions to organizations world-wide,' and he said its products are used by hundreds of Government agencies and medium to large corporations across Australia, US, UK & Canada.
