ispONE and Comcen to provide TiVo customers unmetered downloads

IT Industry - Deals

Hybrid Television Services, the creator of CASPA On-Demand and the exclusive licensee of TiVo products in Australia and New Zealand today announced that ispONE and Comcen have agreed to unmeter CASPA downloads to the TiVo media device.

These agreements allow ispONE and Comcen customers to enjoy unmetered access to CASPA's growing range of on-demand content, including over 700 new release and library movies and 2500 TV shows.

ispONE and Comcen join other Internet Service Providers (ISPs) including vividwireless, Internode, iiNet, Primus, Adam Internet and Apex Internet in making TiVo one the best providers of broadcast and broadband entertainment on the television. TiVo customers do not experience any impact to their monthly download quota when they download movies and TV content, provided they are with one of the unmetered partners.

'The fact that providers like Comcen, ispOne, vividwireless, Internode, iiNet, Primus, Adam Internet and Apex Internet help their customers use legitimate paths to access outstanding content through their TiVo device, is a win for Australian consumers.

'As Australians demand more from their Internet Service Providers, it's good to know that some Internet Providers will give their customers the freedom to enjoy movie downloads with zero impact to their monthly data cap. It is our hope to bring even more unmetered partners on board, to provide our customers with the convenience to download and view on-demand movies without having to leave the couch, pay late fees or worry about bill-shock from exceeding their download quotas. To date, Hybrid TV has signed more unmetered partners for TiVo than any other video-on-demand service in Australia,' said Robbee Minicola, Chief Executive, Hybrid TV.
