NSW water utility selects Objective

New South Wales utility, MidCoast County Council - or MidCoast Water - has selected Objective Corporation's content, collaboration and process management solution to enhance delivery of water and waste water services to its community.

MidCoast Water is a county council that provides water and wastewater services to the Greater Taree and Great Lakes local government areas on the mid north coast of NSW, and executive manager corporate services, Robert Loadsman said the organisation selected Objective 'because they are committed to the same goals, have experience with local government and understand both ours and the community's needs.'

'We are committed to providing essential services and the best value for money to our community. We needed a solution to support our information management requirements as we grow. Objective has the capability and experience to do this and provide local support, as and when we need it.'

According to Loadsman, the Objective solution will enable organisation-wide access to all information. 'For staff, it will reduce time spent searching for information and they will be able to quickly access content such as emails, drainage diagrams, land management procedures, maps, engineering drawings, OH&S, policy and procedure documents from all main work locations.

'Water management is a highly regulated industry. We must comply with regulatory standards, minimise health and safety hazards and ensure safety is of the utmost priority when maintaining a high level of service to the public. Objective's secure and compliant solution provides the functionality to mitigate risk of non-compliance and potential exposure to workplace incidents.'

Future plans for MidCoast Water include using Objective to standardise and streamline business processes such as mail and invoice processing and integratation with key corporate systems such as Geographical Information (GIS), Asset Management (AM), Project Management (PM) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
