A deal between Telstra and Mitel will see the telco offer the full range of Mitel products and services.

Telstra has become the first Mitel premier solution partner in Australia, allowing it to sell the Canada-based company's full range of unified communications solutions via direct and indirect channels.

There has been a partnership between the two companies since 2006, with Telstra selling Mitel's voice products.

"With market and customer demand for voice and data solutions growing, there has been further demand that we offer Mitel's portfolio to new and existing customers," said Carol White, Telstra's director unified communications.

"By expanding an already established partnership with Mitel, we are able to bring our customers the tools needed to successfully run their businesses with the technology required to be competitive, efficient and cost effective," she added.

Gwilym Funnell, Mitel vice president and managing director Asia Pacific region, said "With this enhanced partnership with Telstra, we're able to bring Mitel's portfolio to a market in which we've traditionally been very successful."
