Miners given five star treatment

Integ announced it has implemented its five star Campsite Entertainment Solution into more than 3,000 campsite rooms for several clients including the Karara Iron Ore Project in remote areas of Western Australia , with prospects of tripling this number in the next few months.

The solution supports the delivery of video-on-demand, free-to-air and pay television, video gaming content, internet, and other applications delivered on an IP network.  Campsite Entertainment Solution includes the design, build, management and support services for the network and the delivery and management of applications and content.

Integ has been developing its Campsite Entertainment Solution over the last two to three years, building on more than ten years experience in providing In-Room Entertainment Solutions for four and five star hotels.

According to Integ Group CEO, Ian Poole, the company is ideally positioned to help mine operators provide their employees with a wide range of life-style enhancing services in the campsites. In the resources sector where there is keen competition to attract and keep skilled people, improving living conditions in camp sites is one way organisations can stay at the forefront.

"Provisioning the delivery of content requires a deep understanding of how to build and manage secure and robust networks, and this has been at the heart of Integ's business since its inception. Until recently it has been a challenge to provide these services in remote locations in Australia, such as in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland.  However, with our extensive experience delivering entertainment services across an IP network to the Hospitality sector along with the investment we have made in capabilities for our people, we are now making this a reality.'

'Our current forecasts indicate that these new services for the resources sector could add 25 per cent to Integ Group revenues in the next three to five years.  Whilst this is an emerging, niche market for Integ, we believe that the delivery of entertainment or other business content represents the 'value add' to the network.'
