PC hardware vendor has scored a three year deal with Federal Government owned Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), Australia's multicultural and multilingual public broadcaster.
Acer will provide SBS with more than 800 desktops, notebooks and LCD
monitors in the three year contract. The deal is in the form of a joint
offering through Acer and channel partner Leading Solutions.
Alex Surplice, Director, Operations and Resources for SBS Technology
and Distribution (T & D) said, "As a media organisation, SBS
demands flexible configurations, ease of use and above all reliability.
With immovable deadlines every day, our computer equipment has to work
and work well. Acer has committed to deliver us the flexibility,
security and reliability demanded, together with quality local support.
"Using Acer for our operational needs is expected to deliver us peace
of mind and high customer satisfaction. We provided a very
comprehensive brief in terms of our specific requirements and we
believe the team at Acer and Leading Solutions will rise to the
challenge to ensure we receive service of the highest quality."
Frank Ugolini, Acer National Sales Manager explains, "We are confident
we can meet the challenges set by SBS. Our solid partnership with
Leading Solutions once again demonstrates that channel engagement is
key to giving customers the confidence and peace of mind they are
looking for in a supplier.
"Our flexibility in warranty and support options enables us to increase
service levels without adding much to the bottom line costs which
enables us to be more aggressive in terms of cost."
