UXC Australian subsidiary, Integ Group, has been selected to provide managed voice services for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet's existing voice infrastructure, under a federal government contract worth $2.5 million.
Integ CEO, Ian Poole, said the company was awarded the three-year contract following a competitive tender. He said the voice network supports staff located in Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet's headquarters in Barton, the Department of Climate Change in Canberra CBD as well as a number of other satellite government offices.
According to Poole, Integ support staff will be located on site at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and will provide switchboard operators, as well as facilitate system administration, user training, fixed line and mobile billing support, technical support, expansions and upgrades.
'Partnering with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet is a great opportunity to leverage the company's knowledge, experience and skills in providing managed services.'
Poole said that providing managed services to both private and public sector organisations continues to be a strong focus for the Integ Group. 'Managed services continue to represent a significant area of growth for Integ Group. We are forecasting more than 25 per cent increase in our managed services business over the coming year as organisations continue to realise the benefits of outsourcing this layer of their ICT management to skilled and focused integrators.'
