Specialist Government and utilities oftware provider, SPL WorldGroup, has won a deal with Sydney municipality Fairfield City Council to supply an Enterprise Asset and Work Management solution covering the council's infrastructure assets.
One of Sydney’s largest local government areas, Fairfield City covers
an area of 104 square kilometres and incorporates 27 suburbs. with
approximately 182,000 people.
The SPL Enterprise Asset and Work Management solution is designed to
provide real-time, enterprise-wide visibility into current operations
combined with performance management tools. The solutions aims to give
the Council a comprehensive picture of what assets it owns and their
location and condition. The system captures variables such as cost,
maintenance and depreciation, and presents the information through a
graphical interface.
“Fairfield City Council manages everything from roads, buildings and
vehicles to playgrounds, reserves and creeks,” said Nick Lalich, Mayor
of Fairfield City.
“Putting advanced asset management practices in place will allow us to
better allocate ratepayers’ funds, make more informed decisions and
improve the lifespan of our infrastructure. Once fully operational,
SPL’s Enterprise Asset and Work Management system will greatly assist
us to look after our City's built and natural assets, now and into the
future.”
