Niche market software developer Simbient has signed a deal to upgrade the technology platform linking mortgage provider Aussie Home Loan with its 600 mobile mortgage brokers.
The six figure deal to upgrade Aussie's Mortgage Explorer (AME) platform aims to deliver improved system performance, multi-user capability, an enhanced user interface and better audit capability.
Simbient built the initial version of AME four years ago and, according to Aussie, has achieved impressive results. Aussie's CIO Steve Lindsay says that these include, 'an increased number and better retention of advisers, improved sales conversions, and, market share growth.'
Simbient MD Mike Smith says, 'Innovation and keeping ahead of the game is integral to Aussie's success and this substantial upgrade project will ensure Aussie retains its competitive edge.'
Simbient will develop the system on a Microsoft platform, using technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Microsoft .NET framework, Web Services, Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 and Microsoft SharePoint.
The project is due for completion in May 2006.
